Congress should represent you,
not just corporations and the far-right.
Primary Action is a movement of voters across the political spectrum who want to hold representatives accountable to all of their constituents.
As the number of competitive races in Congress shrinks, holding representatives accountable in November has gotten harder and harder. Many Republicans in Congress only need to listen to far-right primary voters and corporate donors. Cooperation across party lines has become a distant memory.
Bipartisanship can win against ideological extremism. Primaries are the battleground.
No matter how safe the seat, no matter how gerrymandered the district, every member of Congress is vulnerable during their primary.
Fewer than 10% of voters vote in the primaries, which means in a typical primary election a single vote is several times more powerful than a vote in the general election in November. The winner of the Republican primary wins the general election in virtually all red districts.
For the last decade, serious primary threats have only come from far-right groups like the Tea Party. That's encouraged Republicans in Congress to take on more and more extreme views to avoid being challenged by a farther-right candidate in the primary.
We have a plan.
We're supporting select candidates who feel ideological extremism in the Republican Party has had too much say for too long. These candidates are running in open Republican primaries where any registered voter can participate.
Whether you're a voter in a key primary race, or one of millions of concerned citizens across America, we need your help: Read on, and join our fight to bring moderation and compromise back to Washington.
