Jim Evans

Jim Evans is an independent Republican running an unconventional campaign in MO-07. In a district where the primary typically draws a small turnout of highly partisan voters, Jim is working to organize an election-day 'flashmob' of more mainstream and moderate voters ready to look beyond partisan labels.

Jim supports:

  • Single payer healthcare, just like Republican President Eisenhower did
  • A significant expansion of clean energy production
  • Campaign finance reform to get big money out of politics

Jim's opponent, incumbent Billy Long, has not faced a serious primary challenge in his congressional career, and his campaign has more than $500,000 to spend on this race.
